Who we are
DevShuora Solutions Ltd ("DevShuora", "we", "us") is a company registered in England and Wales. Our address is Unit 20 C86, Whitworth House, 28 Charles Street, Stockport, SK1 3JR, United Kingdom. We run devshuora.org and we are responsible for the personal data collected through it.
Questions about your data? Email info@devshuora.org.
This privacy policy covers our website. When we build or run software for a client, the contract with that client explains how data in that software is handled.
What we collect and why
When you send our contact form
We collect your name, email, phone number, company, project type, budget and message, plus the page you sent it from, your IP address and your browser details. We use these to reply to you, prepare a quote and stop spam. We rely on taking steps at your request before a contract, and on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
When you book a free call
Bookings are made through Calendly, which collects your name, email and anything else you enter, and shares the booking with us. We use this to hold the call. Our own website keeps only the time of the booking and scrambled codes (one-way hashes) made from the booking reference and your IP address. These contain no name or email. We use them to limit spam and to show a notice such as "free call booked 2 hours ago" with no personal details.
When you leave a review
We collect your name, role, company, email, rating, review and IP address. We publish your name, role, company and review only if you tick the permission box, and only after we have checked it. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
When you contact us directly
If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we keep what you send so that we can answer you and keep a record of our conversation.
When you use our chat assistant
The chat assistant answers from a fixed list of answers inside your browser. We do not save what you type into it.
When you browse our website
Our hosting company keeps standard server logs, and some outside tools receive your IP address and browser details when a page loads. See cookies and similar tools.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the companies that help us run our business:
- Hostinger hosts our website and its database.
- EmailJS sends your contact form message to our email inbox, which is provided by Google.
- Calendly handles bookings and Google Meet runs the calls.
- Meta (Facebook) receives visit data through the Meta Pixel, but only if you accept cookies.
- jsDelivr and Google Fonts supply icons and fonts, and receive your IP address when they do.
- WhatsApp handles messages if you choose to contact us that way.
We may also share data with professional advisers, or when the law requires it.
Data sent outside the UK
Some of these companies are based in, or store data in, the USA and other countries. Some members of our team work remotely outside the UK, including in Pakistan, and may see enquiries in order to deal with them. Where UK law requires it, we rely on safeguards for these transfers, such as the contract terms approved for this purpose.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and bookings: for as long as we need them to deal with your request and follow up. We then delete them.
- Client records: for the length of the contract, and afterwards as long as the law requires. For UK accounting records this is normally six years.
- Reviews: for as long as they are published, or until you ask us to remove them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your data,
- correct it or delete it,
- limit how we use it, or stop using it,
- send it to you or another company in a usable format,
- withdraw any permission you gave us.
To do any of this, email info@devshuora.org. It is free, and we normally reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so that we can put it right. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. If you live in the European Economic Area, you have similar rights under EU law and can contact your local data protection authority.
Cookies and similar tools
Cookies are small files saved by your browser. When you first visit, we ask for your choice. Cookies for measuring visits and adverts stay off unless you press Accept, and your consent is our legal basis for them. These are the ones our website uses:
- Meta Pixel (cookie: _fbp, about 3 months, only if you accept): tells us how visitors reach and use our website, and helps us measure and target our adverts on Facebook and Instagram.
- Calendly (booking page only): makes the booking calendar work. Calendly sets its own cookies and may show you its own cookie notice.
- Admin sign-in (cookie: DSWEB_ADMIN): used only for our staff when they sign in to manage the website. Other visitors do not get it.
- Your cookie choice (browser storage, 6 months): holds only your choice and its date, so we do not ask on every page.
To change your mind, use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. If you reject after accepting, we stop loading the Pixel and remove its cookie from our website. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website will still work, although the booking calendar may not. If we add other tools, we will update this page first.
Keeping data safe
Our website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and only people who need it can sign in to see enquiries. No system on the internet is completely secure, so please do not send passwords or medical details through our forms.
Children
Our website is for businesses and organisations. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. See also our Terms and Conditions, or contact us with any questions.
